:offtopic:AHHHHH CLOSE ONE!. Given the fact that 2010 was a bust for movie go'ers, I'd have to give it a thumbs up. Although the movie's storyline wasn't the greatest, many other movies had similar portrayals, I found myself enjoying every bit of the movie.

What do you think?:batman:

Is it a Network Ploy for more corporate global domination or did they actually deserve one?

It was up against Inception and it won. Ridiculous!! Social Network was an ok, goodish movie, but it wasn't even in the same league as Inception.

I liked Social Network a lot. More than I thought I would. It deserves an oscar for screenplay though edit/ and score.

the movies fuckin boring as shit and its all about one gay webmaster.
why watch a movie when you can browse wickedfire and read stories about a lot of gay webmasters even faster?

You're crazy, inception was the worst movie I've had to see in my entire life. I'm sure worst Leonardo di Caprio's movie too, 10 years from now he'll be turning over in his grave "Why did I help create that?".

^^^this

and how the fuck did it win over Inception, if anything Social Network guys already had an awesome story, the didnt have to 'dream' up the whole thing like NOlan did

Social Network looked like one of those made for TV type movies you see on Bravo or AMC. I finally watched it on the flight back form Vegas and thought it was really bad. Whoever the Zuckerberg actor was - that was a bad choice.

It deserves a Golden Globe or Facebook will shutdown all hollywood movie and celeb fan pages, rendering Hollywood invisible to all humanity.

Toy Story 3 should fuckin win it, if it was nominated that is, I don't keep up with these bullshit award ceremonies. That movie was really good, one of the better movies of the last 10 years IMO and will stand the test of time like all its previous iterations. Toy Story 1 was badass when I was 7 and still is when I'm 22.

Social Network was alright, like a guy above me said before in a TV movie type way, but with all this cultural momentum going the way of Facebook and shit I guess people are going to be loving this movie. But lets see in 20 years when Facebook is as relevant as Geocities/Angelfire and we can use psychic laser imaging with the chips implanted to our heads to chase tail and/or stalk people.

Inception was also alright. I prefer the South Park episode though.
