Well I owe around $1'700 to the bank/paypal/ebay combined.

I have basically no income and the bank debt is going to continue to get worse with there damn overdraft charges. I'm from the UK , What avenues could I take to get rid of the debt?

(working on getting paid employment now but with no experience its difficult. plus the thought of working 40hrs a week and I still wouldnt be able to pay the debt at the end of the month makes me sick).

So instead you don't pay at all? Get a job you fucking bum.

Get out of the employee mindset, find what you're good at and go for it.

There are points in life where you need to be moderate and humble and do things that will preserve your solvency over a period of time. "Get out of the employee mindset" is shit advice to a guy who can't come up with $1700.

yes 1700 is a drop in the bucket... and if you can't afford that you should not have the mindset of not working for someone...

simple solution OP... get a fucking job... anything... even Mcdonalds... what are you too good?

or i will send you a link for a way to get 1500 right now! (sarcasm... think payday loans)

Yes its easy to type "get a job" but its a bit more difficult in practice when your 19 have had no previous work experience just finished A Levels and are due to start uni at the end of sept. Also note the fact I am already trying to get one but I'm talking about in the mean time if there was anything I could do (legal loopholes or alternative ideas) I could do to either reduce the debt or stop it from snowballing.

Sell your body.

For reals, can you build wordpress sites, or design? You could even do social book marking and make like $50 a day, plenty to do in the BST section here and other forums start hustling and stop being a nigger.

How are you due to start "uni" if you can't come up with $1700? Or is that your point?

Talk to the bank. Tell them you've having trouble paying it off, and ask them to work out a plan with you.

It's a small amount, they should be ok with it.

There is a risk it will affect your credit record a bit, but that's not a bad thing.

I fucked my credit record completely a few years back, best thing I ever did... it's taught me that I don't need debt to live, and can just work by saving up cash for stuff.

If you're having problems now with debt, you need to get it straight asap, otherwise you will come out of uni in the hole for 6 figures.

didn't read the thread so sorry if its already been mentioned but sell drugs to minors, you'll be outa debt in no time.

Goddamn it I got to reading that shit again. Here's an excellent thread opener:

My two year anniversary of college graduation is coming up in December, and I still have not found a job where I can advance professionally as well as make enough money to be able to move out of my parents' house and afford loans, credit cards, rent, etc.

weird how reading about other peoples misfortunes makes me feel better about myself. Time to throw away a few hours on that site.

Go get a bottle of caffeine pills and start writing articles for people in the content section or for textbroker.com or something.

You'll learn what others are doing, plus make cash. If you can pound out 5000 words per day, you're out of debt in a month.

Not the most fun thing in the world, but there's far worse jobs.

Get out of the employee mindset, find what you're good at and go for it.
