been a long while since he's been associated with Paypal, so don't get your panties in a bunch.

Every time I hear about him he is MAKING THINGS HAPPEN for liberty, such as giving large sums of cash to the Seastead institute and this.

Paypal's original form was a good idea too... Almost anonymous currency online.... Too bad he had to sell it but I guess it could never have grown if he didn't.
 
Peter Thiel makes all of us on this forum combined look like one giant peasant cheeseball. Not just with his paypal venture success either. I've been following his investment career for awhile. He's a BAMF x 10.
 
Watched a documentary on him once. Pretty cool to see the stuff he's into now:

He had a great idea, but like any great idea it gets gobbled up into corporate america.
 
good man, FUCK PAYPAL though... The $$'s prob from all those 180 day holds they put on peoples accounts. If not that, the interest that accrues from holding millions for 180 days im sure.
 
yeah he was long gone when ebay started this BS with people. Good to see Paul getting some much needed money before the super tuesday

he pales in comparison to Elon Musk, the other founded of Paypal.

Guy is building electric cars with his company Tesla Motors which he founded, and has privately launched spacecraft with another company he founded, Space X. That is impressive! Actual contributions to society, not hedge funds and investments.

Paypal takes big slice out of our transactions. and people like Thiel spends extravagantly on unorthodox causes such as gay-rights groups such as the American Foundation for Equal Rights and GOProudMethuselah Foundation, the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Peter Thiel hasn't been involved with PayPal taking a big slice out of your transactions for almost 10 years.

johnmatrix, I agree that Musk is awesome, but you know why blogspotter said this, right? There is a fundamental economic lesson here.
