Wickedfire sucks

I can't tell if you're trolling when you post stuff like this, or you're genuinely ignorant, like Nicky was about Neil Patel.

I suppose in your world this is true, but then I think you're ignoring the 100s of millions done in SEO each year.

I suppose you'll say JCPenny and BMW are small time businesses run by retards. Maybe you're right. But when PPC and PPV weren't even meaningful ideas yet, people were already making millions using organic search.

JCPenny only did 17 billion in revenue in 2010. I personally know some big-time FB PPC guys who did that much pushing app installs.

EDIT: I don't actually know those guys, but considering how gargantuan the PPC side of things is, it's probably only a matter of time before I run into one of them.

I want to be guerilla when i grow up .
Why wait? $29.95 and you can be a Guerrilla tonight!

lol seo lol

that's right up there with lukep and his mfa farms when it comes to great business models

no wait, that's "bulletproof long-term business model" as lukep says

On the contrary, the level lulz, drama have increased recently.. Wickedfire was all about the lulz and drama wasn't it?

And there never was any sharing of sorts, in the past 4-5 years I have seen here..
I mean, you meet some good people, you network, but there was no thread that a lot of good stuff, which was good, in a way. Kept the n00bs at bay.

In fact, I think WF is sharing more now than ever..

Of course, there are the good stickies, on copywriting, on advertising and such, but they are all stickies and evergreen. The only real talk about AM happens in the Facebook thread, then and now too.. And then there was the epic thread on media buying... So good threads popped up only once in a while, and they still do..

The only change is too many seller (not complaining, coz I use them and it's all for good), and fewer paid traffic guy.. and too many n00bs and bots..

Another thought:
I always thought Vbulletting and boards/forums are at the fag end of their life cycle.
Nothing on the internet have lasted as long as the VB type "Forums".. That is one reason why Wickedfire is headed where it is headed...
There are better lulz and better conversation to be had on facebook groups, and skype chats...

I always thought Penney and BMW turned to SEO out of desperation and had it backfire horribly on them, I didn't realize it legitimized the role of backlink providers on WF.

This is what you wrote

Nothing on the SEO side approaches what has happened and continues to happen on the paid side. In comparison it's a complete joke with people like Rand becoming the punchlines.
You weren't talking about backlink providers on WF but you did manage to say more really dumb stuff.

Stick to trolling.

Op, dude, it's the STS section. It's supposed to be a vent for troll threads to keep that shit off of the other areas where it matters.

Not sure if fucking retarded or fucking retarded.

Stick to trolling.

You say that like it's a bad thing, I always thought about advertising as trolling for profits, and trolling for lulz is good practice for trolling to sell something or incite particular actions. I personally think advertising is cool, you spend money, you get a given amount, your reach extends far beyond a search engine result page, and everything is focused on your call to action. In most cases, online advertising gratification is near-instant, on my favorite platforms I submit my ads and I get an approval email before I can finish a cigarette. SEO on the other hand is a fun diversion, but ultimately it's limited to a search engine result page, you have to please Googlebot above all else, and you spend time and money, cross your fingers and wait for traffic and the whims of developers and system architects who consider SEO a bug to be eliminated. So yes, I shall stick to trolling, properly applied it's quite profitable.

Wickedfire, you know I love you, but I just can't take this,
You know I love you, but I'm playing for keeps,
Although I need you, I'm not gonna make this,
You know I want to, but I'm in too deep.

Smoking is so bad for you.

No, I really think the value you provide around here is trolling.

You should stick to it. When you wander off into topics like marketing, business and SEO, it's pretty much a trainwreck.

lol Phil Collins

His ex-wife and kids were my neighbours in Canada when I was a kid.

There is very little useful info on here now... Even though I have found some good stuff.

I wish there was a forum full of people who know their stuff, are doing well and don't post retarded crap all the time.

One of the main reasons you rarely see useful posts/tips/tricks anymore is because once they get posted, some retard decides it would be a good idea to exploit the fuck out of it. Sure, let me share my PPC secrets so some guy can sell an eBook/BST service out of it. Sounds like a plan!

Also, I think affiliate marking actually died for real this time. Nobody is talking about it here anymore and everybody seems to be doing seo.

I've been doing affiliate marketing AND SEO for like 13 years now. I've always monetized SEO traffic with affiliate sales. I never got into PPC too much expect for the time I figured out how to get thousand$ a day in free Adwords and they finally caught on and shut me down.

I'm annoyed by PPC vs. SEO talk, annoyed by "affiliates" who dismiss non-paid traffic, but also almost equally annoyed by SEO people who waste good search traffic on shitty MFAs and don't understand when it's good to be a Buyer instead of a seller. Especially when being the "buyer" is "free."

Then again, I guess both situations mean less competition for me. So whatever.
