Very insightful actually. Could you please go into more details on how to acquire JV partners and affiliates? I appreciate you taking the time to post here, cheers!
It's a huge area tbh... its something which ive worked at over 3-4 years and slowly learnt and built up..
To me a JV partners is someone with a similar product and a mailing list. They mail for my product, earn commission, and I do the same for them.. we roughly match traffic.
I started out doing just 1 by accident.. I got approached... the guy sent me 4k subscribers and doubled the size of my business overnight... then over the next 3 years I went about joining peoples newsletters in my niches, seeing who was maiing for who, and contacting them all 1 by 1.. the important thing is that you NEED a newsletter of your own.. no one (BIG) will promote to you without return traffic to them.. don't even bother...
The most important thing is traffic return so highlight your list size and average traffic you can send near the top of your email.... 10% of people respond, and you work with 1/3 of them, and 50% of those are good... slowly you build your circle until you have about 10+ people in there, then youre all chatting away on skype and you don't need to cold email people anymore - you just get recommendations and intros from your existing circle.
Of course you also need an offer, again, no one is sending to your freebie list without any commission really.. I won't anyway..
Then you need conversion rate... you can actually do ok even if your product doesnt convert at a top level.. but you need to be giving 0.50-$2 clicks.. anything under 0.50 and people will not want to work with you again.. unless u have a huge list and can really drive traffic..
Is that 1 million before affiliates get paid or after?
I think the niche you're in is huge and has massive potential. Digital products traditionally don't get a warm welcome here, there is a backlash against gurus selling ebooks and training that goes back to the founding of the forum iirc.
I hope you stick around.
As far as CPA stuff, those guys don't talk a lot about what they do in public, but maybe you can get some networking going.
Yeh, I'm not a fan of plowing eBooks through Clickbank, but some people do it really well.. those who stick to just one and really push it hard and grow it...
Our stuff isnt just digital, we sell physical CDs too and they look and sound good quality.. but 80% of our sales are digital.. and thats great, 99% profit on an digital sale.
The $1m+ is before affiliates, thats rough website revenue across 3 sites.. Maybe I take home just less than half of that.. but then I make decent extra money from being an affiliate to my JV partners launches so make.. I don't even know but definitely $100k+ from those.. probably 150k+ yearly too now, and that is all 100% profit
But all of the profit I split 50/50 with my business partner - hes web development, and I'm marketing.
