I find it really flexible with lots of option. Overall is very good, no complaints so far. Everything is a breeze. The tracking options can be overwhelming. I spent all my day testing and trying different stuff. Definitely can do more stuff than prosper(I assume the paid versions of prosper - tracking and leads can do some of it, but can't comapre as I haven't seen them)

And it's not that pricey... its 300 bucks and 150 for annual updates. Definitely worh it.


Also - yeah, the video is impressive. It's that way because he has a longer sales funnel(building reputation, and tension). I expect a 10k training course at the end of video 5.

They made a conscious decision to leave it free SO they can promote their other services through it and make money through that. If it isn't working out of them, then the should reavulate their marketing plan and/or their product.

why are you so hung up on the terms free and freemium? Have you had to pay a single dime to Prosper202?
 
For all I care they can start pushing viagra and cialis who cares.. But I do understand where momchil is coming from - but man you gotta understand there's no classiness about making money through performance markeing.. we use what makes money and if it's a good product like adbeat all the better. I used it for probably 4 months as I was transitioning to display advertising and to me it was a solid product. Though I can't compare it to whatrunswhere because I never used it.. I've also used mixrank for a month or two and they're both good services.

Because if it is free, then (if they want to make money at all) it would be ad supported. I wouldn't have this impression and opinion if it was a free product. If prosper202 had all the features tracking202 has and if leads202 was selfhosted, free software.

But it is not. They use the fremium model. They give you a small part of their software for free and charge you for the more robust features and they get to showcase their skills and get consulting gigs. When you chose this path you don't promote 3rd parties.

It's not my fault they can't get enough people to switch to their paid solutions. Maybe they are not good enough. Maybe it's not the right monetization plan for this field.

For all I know, they just can't make up their minds. Seeing what they have done in the past, it sure looks that way.

Anyway, I switched, and I am very happy with my decision, and I urge everyone to look at cpv lab and do the same. They got 30 day money back guarantee, so you lose nothing. But i'm sure you will not want to go back at all.

ps: someone PMed me and told me that adbeat is a lot cheaper if you are using just GDN, than WRW, and yes, I agree for the money it costs it is good enough. In the grand scheme though, it sucks.
 
Prosper is open source, free software. I've used it to track over 10 sales per minute on a dedicated server without issue.

There's only a few small things that CPV lab does better. Either way, you could hire a programmer to customize prosper to fit your needs.

I don't agree with what they are doing and think it is wrong. I even think they are losing in the long term taking this approach.

In your first post you said it was free but now you're saying it's not free. I'll ask what threehundred did which you didn't answer, have you ever paid a single dime to Prosper?

Prosper is free. But they limited it. It is used as a marketing tool for their more advanced, paid products and services(this is why it is fremium). I have nothing against them promoting their paid products to me. I have something against them promoting 3rd party bullshit.

I haven't paid anything to prosper. I am paying now to cpv lab. Prosper lost me as a paying customer with their shortsighted behavior and inconsistency in their actions.

It's like Oracle blasting emails to mysql users promoting some web development company, instead of promoting Oracle DB.

Can't you really see the difference?

Not ... technically. Prosper is free, you can't technically pay 202 for upgrades to Prosper itself. Tracking202 is a whole other product, as are their other things and other modules. Prosper itself has no "premium version" - it has addons like leads202 or whatever else they have, but those are separate products itself.

Freemium implies that the architecture you're currently running on right now has features that are not enabled (or limited), but are a part of the product itself. T202 is not the "paid version of prosper" because it's no longer self-hosted, and has other addons that P202 doesn't have (their caching stuff, the support aka labor/handholding, etc). It's the same architecture, but you're paying for the hosting and the additional features (see: paid addons) that they put into it.

Prosper is a free product, which has paid addons. At least that's how I see it.

Edit: I see that you said it's free now, but because I already typed this I'll keep it heh. How exactly is Prosper limited though? That I do want to know.

Limited, as T202 and leads202 the same + more features. That's what I meant.

Also there are a lot more "switches" in cpv lab. I'm not saying they are absolutely necessary, but they are not present in prosper. Don't get me wrong. Prosper202 is fine software, I don't have problems with the software itself. I did everything I needed and still does. Everything that I might need in future is probably delivered through leads202.

That is what fremium means. Some features are unlocked after you pay for them. YOU DON'T GET TO BLAST EMAILS MARKETING 3RD PARTY STUFF. That is the model you chose, stick with it.

See, I didn't make this thread when they emailed me with their VIP packages(they connect you with potential advertisers). They probably take a fee from the advertiser, with which I have nothing against. They are marketing their own stuff.

I made this thread after they raped my email with stupid crap, and using sneak oil tactics. They should have known better. <- that is my whole point.

I expected more professional attitude from them.

When you showcase your professionalism through a free product, you don't do stupid shit like that, because you lose your potential clients, because you lose your credibility.

Maybe that is why people switch to other solutions when they go big, instead of upgrading to their paid products.

You aren't a paying customer, you haven't paid anything. At the most you'd be a prospective customer. This is why it's annoying to me you are bitching so much about their decisions on monetization, because you are NOT a paying customer yet you've been benefiting from their free product.
