I stopped watching death videos after I saw the beheading of Nick Berg while in college and couldn't go to sleep for a couple days.
The Nick Berg video is pretty tame compared to something like the last episode of Game of Thrones.. I guess it's just the context.
That's true, and you're right context means everything. When you see these death videos and know they're real people kinda changes things.

I used to be able to watch all kinds of shit, but the last time I went to TheYNC.com, I REALLY regretted it. (That site has got to be one of the worst of its kind in existence). And if you haven't heard of TheYNC before and want to check it out...don't.
Pffft... yeah right. Anything in a movie or tv show, you KNOW it's fake. I don't care how real it looks. Actually, the closest you can come to pretty disturbing is "The Human Centipede"...but that's another story.
Try spending an hour watching the worst (often most commented) clips on TheYNC, and I dare you to see if you still think tv-show episodes make real video deaths seem tame.

Last GoT episode threw me for a moment though.. the part where the guys head was sliced in half.. wasn't expecting it though.. you sorta know what to expect when you see headchop.avi though.
For what it's worth.. the animal cruelty videos that get around bother me (I won't watch them). Humans have and will always be brutal to one another but no need to make animals suffer or kill them slowly, do it quick and humanely.
