Video Shows How Useless Facebook Likes Are

2) for FB marketing, it doesn't matter if you buy those likes from FB or a farm, the distinction in terms of effectiveness is whether they are bought v not bought.

Agree, I think. You can buy them from FB, and they can still be crap. That's my main objection to the "legitimate" versus "non-legitimate" talk. A discussion of the varying levels of "fake" would probably be more useful.

Buying likes from facebook doesn't somehow make them a responsive marketing list. On top of that, even a great list would lose money in the hands of the wrong person.

Failed to use targeting, complains about majority of his likes coming from 3rd world countries. What am I missing here?

over half the vid was about illegit likers circumventing targeting. how did he fail in his method (honest question)?

Cool- you didn't watch past the halfway mark.. try watching the whole video and you'll actually see what you missed.

Even when targeting USA only, click farms were deliberately liking his page to fuck up FB's spam algorithm.. if only there was a perfectly good video that explains this.

I have found the more specific the targeting, the less bot action you'll get.

Seems like targeting people via FB's partnership with Acxiom would also help filter out bots but this is just a theory.

that's not really targeting what he did.

I'm all for outing big companies who rip off the small guys but this is just shoddy journalism.

Facebook has some awesome geo and demographic filtering that puts Google to shame and when it comes to buying likes, so what ?

It's up to a company to decide whether they buy likes or not. Sick of morons like this.

You are the moron. Did you watch the video all the way through? Pretty good expose of FB advertising for likes.
