im not a domainer but 29k is just silly. that domain is not worth 29 dollars even. i say it's worth the price of reg. can't sell it to reseller i don't think. who knows who, u might find an end user.

You guys don't need to be harsh with ME. No, I wasn't expecting that, I just was trying to show I had it appraised, and the domain had potential.

Sorry..:(

Domainers.

All you have said in your last 4 posts is "Domainers."

@OP - Swift Appraisal just told me your domain is actually not worth $29k. It is actually worth $35,000 to $45,000!!!!!!

I'll give you $34,999 for it, but you have to promise to buy me a box of donuts! </wtf>

The whole thing is actually a long story.

I was contacted by a party wanting to buy it, but wanted it professionally appraised and even linked to a site that does it, easynamesale.com

I just wasn't think about it.

DO NOT GO THERE. It's just a scam. Try not to let money get you distracted from thinking straight and falling for a scam. I was lucky enough to get my money back.

Just a lesson learned.

Anyways, if anybody is interested in this for real, feel free to contact me through the Sedo address. I just want it out of my hands after everything I've gone through for it -_-

Have a great day guys :)

rofl i heard of this scam. did they conveniently back out of the 'deal' after it was 'appraised'? good job wasted however much money you wasted

Yeah, but I got my money back.

Lesson well learned.

Just everybody else here that are domain sellers, keep your eyes peeled, and stay the hell away from easynamesale.com, it's just simply a scam.

If you get an email from a Mr. George Ogilvie from Ogilvie Technologies, just trash it ;)

Those guys have been running this thing for a while, if you think ebooks are bad imagine how much this dickheads are clearing. Think directory submitters make money, wanna be domainers have hundreds if not thousands of domains. Now assume they only submit 5 names thats 50 bucks * 100. Okay, the more people read that kevin ham and frank schilling article the more fish are lured in. Domains are scarce and you will be lucky to get anything worthwhile, now isnt that a cash cow thats better than selling ebooks.
This are the kind of companies that shouldnt be allowed to continue with their practise. Just my 2 cents. :)

I agree 100% with you. At this point, I just want to sell the damn thing for whatever, even reg price. I don't want to build a site, and I don't wanna be out 10 bucks, haha.

I listed a domain for sale on Sedo a couple of days ago. Haven't done anything else. This morning got an offer email.......

"Hello,

Your domain for sale has been found online.
ÿ
Please let us know your price.
ÿ
We make money on selling and buying names and sites. Now the domain
business is very attractive.

Looking forward to do business with you.
ÿ
Regards,
George Ogilvie
CEO
Ogilvie Technologies"

From the above posts ..., is what is being said that the real business of George Ogilvie is selling domain appraisals?
