I think you have to be careful about making generalizations about entire religions, be it Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, whatever. There's always going to be some bad examples that can be used to justify stereotypes, but it's inherently unfair to the vast majority that are peaceful citizens who view their faith as a private matter between them and their God.

It looks like what happened to him is something I've done a few times (but always managed to catch myself right before I publish the post)
Basically when you become a mod the place were the "quote" button used to be is now the "edit" button. He was most likely trying to quote Old Goat and instead edited the post. It sucks. I've wished more than once that edit button was on the otherside of the screen or something.
