1. you gotta know what the hell you're doing. (CTR on banners, Good offer, CTR from blog to offer, etc.)
2. you gotta have a good account manager at the media buy network, god knows they help whoever they want to help

being in the media house myself, I don't think so. Bigger amount of media buy will fill up our pocket for sure.. but result wise.. definitely the fastest, but never long lasting..
