Well, I think we both (hopefully) agree that it takes a tremendous amount of dedication, athletism and raw talent to get to the professional level in both sports - and comparing the two is kind of like hitting a brick wall with a pillow. They are totally different games, and in no way resemble each other.

Haha!

The main reason being finding good soccer plays is painful - because it sucks.

American football is more like rugby, for sure. Nothing compares to the beautiful game! Enjoy these Rage :)

classic!

It does make me laugh how you can call it football then pick the ball up and throw it!

80 million pound for ronaldo! can you imagine how much messi would be worth now?

ummm....ever hear of LIONEL MESSI????

VIVA ARGENTINA!!!!...:)

Go back and re read the thread, you missed something. I think Messi is great and I am a big Barcelona fan.

When the deal for Man U fell through to AIG, the company I worked for went courting Barcelona. Barcelona wouldn't take a betting company as a shirt sponsor (fair play to them and not at all their style hence the fact Unicef is on their shirts now) so the company settled for a lesser EPL team, Tottenham.

I have a signed and framed Ronaldinho shirt here beside me as a parting gift from those conversations.

The Handegg thing always cracks me up :)

soccer is nothing but a bunch of pussies

and please call it soccer and stop trying to associate it with football, a real sport.

oh shit nicky, look at your fail:

yeah man I remember being watching the premiership roundup like 3-4 weeks ago and seeing that logo. I was like.. hmm I know that logo from somewhere, then a few hours later I found it on your portfolio. cool shit

Why is everyone comparing Football (english) and American football? Surely Rugby would be a better comparison and fuck me, it's so much more brutal. It's quite funny how the U.S lives in it's own little sports bubble.

In hockey you'd be boo'd out of the stadium by your own fans if you took dives like a little fag ala Ronaldo. No real sports fan is going to take you seriously when you roll around like a 4 year old girl every time someone comes close to you, never mind makes contact. If a hockey player gets slammed into the boards and is hurt, he will get the fuck back up and get back in the play ASAP, because he knows that nobody else including the ref is going to wait around or pay attention to a little drama show.

Haha your correct in hockey they slam players into the boards, firstly because they want to have a quick dry humping session, secondly they usually don't have the skill to take the puck off them without physically taking them out.

LMAO at this thread and all the haters..

I'm a fan of both sports, played both sports, and find all these non-sports pussies commenting so hard quite laughable.

Half of the morons talking up football, are probably those typical aholes who know ever stats, every player, every fucking thing about the game but rarely if ever played. Yeah, I have plenty of friends like that, pussies who never played anythinmg, but they sure have a big yapper..

Soccer, especially at a highly competitive level, is "as rough" as any other sport involving a ball, and more dangerous than most. However, I fail to agree that a sport gains popularity because it's regarded as "tough". Two of the world's biggest sports are Soccer and Cycling, I guess everyone thinks Lance Armstrong is a pussy too?

jesus bro, here we go again. Why do you go out of your way to bash football? I love american football, but soccer was created decades before american football; and, in american football, they hardly use their feet.

What's the scottish league where you can use your hands and your feet? What the hell is that called?

Lastly, Ronaldo can go. United needs the money to pay off the 700m debt they have. And, anyway, with giggsy, scholes and neville all at the end of their careers, having some cash will help us farm more talent.

I want United to keep winning, but I (and i kinda feel bad saying this) wouldn't mind seeing them drop to the mid-table to get rid of all the bandwagoners.
