Barcelona wouldn't take a betting company as a shirt sponsor (fair play to them and not at all their style hence the fact Unicef is on their shirts now) so the company settled for a lesser EPL team, Tottenham.
I have a signed and framed Ronaldinho shirt here beside me as a parting gift from those conversations.

However, I fail to agree that a sport gains popularity because it's regarded as "tough". Two of the world's biggest sports are Soccer and Cycling, I guess everyone thinks Lance Armstrong is a pussy too?
