I downloaded some public domain content (old user manuals) from a site, stripped off the "Not For Resale" page (had to break the password), and put it up for sale on my site. The dude sent me a cease and desist. The content is definitely public domain but I did circumvent his password...

After you buy them then what? Redirect to a site you own? Put a link up to a site you own? Develop it?

Nearly every "SEO Expert" expounds on the value of articles and directory submissions for backlinks and traffic. Is it all bullshit? My purely cynical n00b self says keyword rich articles get more traffic for GoArticles or Ezinearticles then they get for me. If content if freakin' king then...
