Ok, so here is what I want to do. I want to customize Wordpress so that the archive and rss links only show in categories/post pages and the archive. I don't want them to appear on regular pages like the homepage, about, links, etc. I know that I need an if/else type deal, but I have no idea how...

I just added a sig, but it isn't showing on my old posts. Aren't new sigs supposed to update and appear even on older posts? Is the reason for its absence due to the fact that I didn't have a sig up until this point?

I am trying to run a page with php in it and I am getting this message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE on line 7 Can anyone tell me what exactly a T_VARIABLE is so that I know what I am looking for while trying to fix this?

I have owned a few directories in my day, but I'm wondering if they are a bit pointless nowadays. It seems like everybody owns one now and that the only people visiting them are webmasters hoping to get listed. Am I totally off base? Are they still worth the time and effort to set-up and oversee?

How often do you change your password for your blog log-in? Do people hack blogs very often? I'm just wondering if I should change it often or if it's something that I don't really need to be concerned with.
