Am I the only one or did WF discontinue servicing it?

So my Wordpress niche sites seem to have gotten malware due to the htaccess file being visible...has anybody ever gotten their sites hacked and what to do when it happens...? This fucking sucks. I'll be researching but any help is much appreciated.
