So i pretty much decided i need to sort my list out.
I have so many, it's damn hard to choose a top 15.
These albums make me think of good times i've had, people i have known, and things i have done that i don't ever want to forget.
Also i'm a musician, so i've tried to add some album that leave me in awe. ----> (much like this lil' dude).
15.
Regina Spektor: Begin to Hope
This woman has a great voice, seriously it's awesome. Her songs are weird as fuck, that's why i like it! And that's why she's on my list, formally replacing Guns n Roses, cause Axl Rose is a dick.
14.
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Californication
Needs no introduction. RHCP does do.
13.
Madness: Devine Madness
2tone ska at it's best.
You crazy yanks caught onto madness yet?
12.
Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense
We had to study this tour as part of my Music Performance, Genius - pure genius.
11.
AFI: The Art of Drowning
I fucking love this album, not sure why. Just do i guess!
Although i don't like any of the records they've done.
10.
System of a Down: Toxicity
System rock, everyone knows it. It's pretty much in the Bible!
9.
Bran Van 3000: Glee
Now this is random, i know. It's not overly popular by todays standards but i love it for the complete lack of "lets stick to one genre and make loads of money". Each song is a masterpiece of its own.
8.
Mason Jennings: Everything!
I cheated, so sue me! I couldn't pick one album, i love every song on every cd. If you haven't heard him, DO IT FUCKING NOW!
7.
Incubus: Absolutely Everything! (Except ACLOTM, that was wank!)
Yes, i realise this isn't one album again, and is in actual fact 6 in one, thanks to MS Paint again. But i couldn't choose just one album. I fucking love Incbus, except for A Crow Left of the Murder. That was a bag off shite.
6.
Queen: Greatest Hits I & II
What list would be complete without Queen?
Freddie Mercury is a God in my eyes, one of the greatest singers in the history of music.
5.
Sublime: 40oz to freedom
Disagree and you will be shot.
Sublime are ONE of the reasons i did music performance in college. Brad's energy on stage was unbelievable, i wish i could have seen them in person.
4.
Jack Johnson: Brushfire Fairytales
Jack johnson inspired me to play an acoustic over an electric guitar, i went on to learn pretty much every song he's done.
My fingers got sore, but i'm greatful to him for such a simple album. Shame about the new ones (i've said that alot).
3.
Bob Marley: Legend
Seriously, do i REALLY need to explain this?
Bob Marley = Saint.
2.
Steely Dan: Then and Now
I was first introduced to Steely Dan by the sound technician for The Who. Random story, but true none the less.
I fucking love the Dan, they rock my world.
1.
Pink Floyd - Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd
It took me a while to decide whether i liked DSOTM best or WYWH. So i went with a blend of the two, plus the best of from the other albums.
Pulse still remains my favourite live DVD ever!
BTW;
I'm not 100% sure on most of these, top 3 are staying.
But i'm missing: The Clash, Sterephonics, Bob Dylan, Neil Dymond (random!), The Who, Xavier Rudd, Ben Harper, Damien Rice, Otis Reading, Frank Sinatra, U2, KORN, Doubtful Guest, Corwded House, the Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull, The Beach Boys, JAMES, White Buffalo (i love WB, but haven't heard enough to pick an album), Jon Swift, and SOOOOO many more.
Tell me yours if it makes you feel better! :xomunch:
