I am buying an expired domain for the first time and I was hoping to get a few pointers... When checking to see if a domain has been "tainted" I am currently looking at the following factors:
whois lookup - see how long the domain has been around for and maybe how many times it has changed hands. (record archived since, nameserver changes over x years, etc.)
ahrefs backlinks - looking at the backlinks to make sure the backlink profile isn't spammy.
waybackmachine - seeing if there is anything in the waybackmachine.
google index - seeing if google still has anything in its index for the site. (if it doesnt should i be worried?)
That's all I have for now... but I want to do my due diligance and make sure I am buying domains that are healthy and not tainted.
What else should I be doing?
