Anyone ever find a really old stash they forgot about and smoke it?

I was cleaning out my garage and found an old stash that's gotta be at least 2 years old. But it's totally airtight.

I checked with a magnifying glass and don't see any mold or anything (don't know how that would be possible since it's airtight).

It's drier then dry, but I'm tempted. If I remember correctly it's some AK47 from Amsterdam and it was goooood shit. Obviously won't be as good now but ...

When I used to smoke weed as a kid we found my dads stash from the 70s

We had to smoke the whole OZ to get high lol

If it's completely dry, try putting a orange peel in with the weed for a while. The weed will absorb some of the moisture from the peel. Of course you gotta check it a few times a day to make sure it's not too moist/molding.

Or you could just smoke it now. If there's no mold there's no risk.

You don't want it to go up like a ball of sawdust when you light it.

But instead of an orange peal go to a smoke shop and get a humidifier. They're these little reusable quarter sized discs that you run under the sink shake off and throw in your bags. They'll keep your shit fresh and potent. Can't be a proper stoner without one :)

spice jar + humidifier = perfect weed every time.

edit: plus police dogs can't smell through a spice jar so if you keep a stash in your car its something to consider....see i'm full of useful info today :)

Ignore everyone's advice. A humidifer is not the way to go with old weed, the excess oxygenation from the disc or orange peel will cause water desalination aloing with ambient pressure causing separate evaporation vs. condensation processes.

Send me the bag via Fed Ex, I'll be happy to purify it for you completely, giving it some robust attention. I'll even pay for the postage. Please PM me.

I pulled out a winter coat from storage one time and found a half smoked joint in one pocket and...no shit...a McDonald's cheeseburger in another - still wrapped and quite well preserved I might add. Must have been a good night.

Quick old weed story:

A long time ago my friends grandmother was visiting him and he had borrowed her car to come out. We were smoking and heading out somewhere so after we blazed he hid the bag in a glove or something in the trunk in case we got pulled over. Go figure, he forgets about the bag in the trunk and his grandmother leaves the next day.

A couple years later she dies and he goes to her house for the wake and funeral. He sneaks out and checks the trunk and sure enough, the weed is still in there, so he blazes after the funeral and the shit was still good. I couldn't make this shit up.

Just because you don't see mold doesn't mean there's not something dangerous lurking under the surface. Just buy yourself another dimebag and forget about it IMO. One time I had some bacon in the freezer that was about 3 years old but vaccumn sealed. I thought it was okay and ate it anyway. Got sick as a dog. And it only would have cost me a few bucks to go to the store and buy some new bacon. Moral of the story - when in doubt, don't do it.

lolll...

couple year old bacon = NO GO.
couple year old weed = OK.

That orange peel trick works wonders. If there isn't visible mold or mites it should be fine.

I would trust Eli's word though, he's in like the weed mecca. haha

Marginally off topic but I had an unopened Budweiser "millennium" can from the year 2000 in my closet for nearly ten years that somehow exploded recently. I don't know how that works. Smelled like putrid ass vinegar.
