Hello all you WF Formula One race fans.

At long last another Grand Prix season is upon us. 2010 was terrific and this year looks like it might be even better.

To me it looks like Sebastian Vettel is driving with a level of commitment unseen since the incomparable Ayrton Senna. No I don't think he's at that level (see my avatar) - but he is approaching it, imo.

He is totally Plugged into that fuckin Red Bull.

Me thinks it'll be Vettel again.

What do you guys think?

My Predictions?

- More political BS to take away from the fact that the racing is very poor, and has been for the last few years...

- Very few lead changes, you can pretty much tell who will be on the podium by the time Friday is over.

- Ferrari once again underachieving

- Schumacher once again underachieving, the whole car vs driver debate comes up over and over again to fill time during race broadcasts

Don't get me wrong, I am a die hard race fan. I almost fought a kid in high school because I did not agree with his choice of favorite drivers, and I can remember almost every race from the 1997 F1 season with stunning clarity.

But, as it stands, F1 Blows - NASCAR is where it's at right now...

You know I respect NASCAR, after a fashion. You gotta admit the racing is contrived -- you know caution flags, races that are way too long for any human to drive flat out in, too many cars on 1/2 mile tracks, etc., etc.

The average NASCAR fan is there to see the wrecks, the average F1 fan is there to see the world's quickest drivers and cars at the limit.

I hear ya - different strokes for different folks...

Vettel will win, there's no doubt in my mind that anyone else will come close. As a Scotsman I hope Di Resta has a good season and hope that the lad who replaced Kubica fails on an epic level, its just wrong!

Fernando Alonso will win

Unless he has to pass a Renult in the last race to clinch. :ugone2far:

I love Alonso -- he is a proven racer/champion.

Schumacher's out already lol!! Glad to see the season back. Vettel's looking good FTW in this race.:)

And no KERS. Webber has a hard head, but maybe Vettel has mindfucked him.

I really would love to see Montoya win the Cup.

Yep I think i'll be Vettel again.

It wasn't Heidfeld's fault Kubica got hurt rallying. As far as im failing that is almost a foregone conclusion -- personally I never rated Nick. Kubica is really fucking quick. I hope to see his ugly ass back in there soon.

A lot of Nick H haters, good to see him getting a result today although it's a shame we won't see Kubica driving that car.

Last few years were not the best for F1, at least I stopped watching it while I used to watch every single race 7-10 years ago.
I must admit I am alonso and hamilton "hater" though :)

The Malaysian Grand Prix is starting soon! Hope Hamilton can take on Vettel! Can see Perez doing well today (looking good at just 21).:)

Yep kid's fuckin Qwik! Seem's to have a cool head under fire too -- I'm impressed.

OH NOES!! Two Germans on the podium. Good race anyway.

Tremendous race.

Shit I think I was wrong about Nick. Just goes to show how much the right car means in F1.

I thought last season was one of the best since the epic days of Senna vs Prost.

Looking forward to the Turkey race on Sunday (hate these breaks between races). Hopefully Hamilton can take on Vettel again.:)

Also, getting excited about the Senna movie, in cinemas here on the 3rd of June. The early reviews have been very high on IMDB...

Dude let me know how that flick is. I'm in the states so I have to wait.

As a racer myself -- Senna was, is, and always will be my touchstone.

Wonder why they haven't sorted a US release date yet. Have had a look for a download, but have had no luck. Looks like a bit of a tear jerker, from the LA Times...

Pandey talked about showing the film to Ron Dennis, the head of the McLaren racing team, a man known for being unemotional and so conscious of not wasting a minute of time that he has a car and driver waiting for him everywhere he goes.

"After the film ended, Ron Dennis cried for 10 minutes," Pandey said. "Then he sat and talked about Senna for two hours. Such is the power of this man, and this film."
