I have read everything I can find on WF about 301's.

Question's:

1. Does this work - buying a set of .info's and sending XR and SB through them if they are 301'd. Importance of anchor text - does it pass through. How many can I get away with? If G reviews am I then SOL so therefore do not abuse it?

2. Buying dropped or almost dropped niche related and 301'ing to site. I have seen this advocated in several places - question is - how many can I buy before it becomes a pattern that I will be in trouble for. If my niche is hardware tools (for e.g. only) then buying a hammer site, DIY site, wrench site etc.... is there a limit before problems arise?

3. For local SEO. If I charge client, for results, not for work. Then would I be best off doing the above and then if fired or they stop paying then turn off the 301 to their site. Can I then turn it back on to another site - or back to the same site should they decide to pay again (or is the permanent nature of the 301 not that flexible)? On the lighter side, I could at minimum funnel everything through so 60-100 web 2.0's and then change the links should the stop paying.

Thank you in advance for any insight and assistance.

Try it out. What have you got to lose? Besides the $1 registration fee through GoDaddy for 1 year.

From my experience, yes. Anchor/keyword weight is generally passed through 301s.

that's what I am going to do - just looking for some insight. I will go with what you said on anchor text and also look for some dropped same niche sites to get a feel for the impact. Even though I am not singularly isolating the 301's from the drop's as a variable.

Hey REIM,

I don't see any difference between the above and just getting links, except
that 301'ing the .infos means you'll be able to drop links with different domain
names and that should help you stay under the radar where you drop links.

Imo, you have every right to do this. There is nothing underhanded about it
and there is no "trouble" in it.

A very common practice.

Yes, to all 3 questions. However, avoid using more than about 3 , 301 domains. btw, you will suffer extreme ranking penalty unless you use link type diffusion and other more sophisticated tactics.
