I had originally bought 5stars.com with the thought of turning it into a nice hotel site, run some traffic to it until I could show revenue, then flip it for a quick profit.

Funds fell through for the project and now I need more funds for my main project. So I have listed it on Flippa for now. Flippa doesn't seem to be the best spot for selling premium names, but I don't want to wait a year for offers.

It's a short name that's used in day to day talk. Most all popular review systems go by a 5 star rating. Would make a great local review site like yelp or an instant brand in the hotel niche.

Really wanted to develop this one out, but unfortunately I gotta let it go.

What do you guys think about the name? Is there a better place for me to sell it then flippa? Anyone interested?

I usually don't care for domains with numbers in them but this one isn't that bad...

Flippa sucks for selling domains. It's mostly people looking for developed sites that are already making money.

You could Google "domaining forums" and find some forums to list your domain on... most of them are free to post.

Was thinking about this more...

Another thing you could do is find sites that you would have been competing with and ask them if they'd be interested in making an offer...

If they like it they might make you a good offer just to get it and stop someone else from buying it from you and competing against them...

This is what I was planning of doing, developing it a bit first and then approaching a competitor. But this would take a lot of time to work out a deal I believe and my time and money for this project has fallen through.

I know of dnforum, but am not sure if I would be better off selling it there or flippa.

Yes, I am saying to contact them about the domain... no need to develop it. You might get a quick sale for the reasons I stated above.

Flippa is ok but I've seen some good domains get under priced on there.
