Got bored 20 some days ago and figured I would make a website and build a list real quick. The site is centered around Ultra Music Festivals 2012 show in Miami, Florida.

Never had a chance to do a nice design so I threw up a WP site template with the WP-Opt in plugin and analytics to track and checked on it today and I have gotten over 155 opt ins and 6,000+ hits over the last 20 days.

The question is where to go from here.

Obviously I will monetize the leads I built through some sort of product related to the house music niche but what else do yall think?

Find other music related events in Miami that your demographic would like and promote them with a ticket provider affiliate program. Throw in some Miami travel deals too cause I know friends of mine would travel to Miami for those shows. Some food for thought..

6000 hits???

What do you mean by hits? Do you mean visitors or unique visitors? Then say that. If you don't know the difference between hits and visitors then you shouldn't be in IM.

Pisses me off.

I run a fanpage for EDCL Las Vegas.

16k+ fans, all very active, and growing daily. I too am finding the same problems with monetization. The hotel travel affiliate deals are cool, but I'm looking for something more in depth as far as interest. Lets connect sometime and bounce some ideas off eachother.

Email countdown newsletter. Count down to the start of Ultra. Each month feature a different offer/promotion/info. For example, you could do an email one month that features "Everything you need for a music festival". This email would be informational, and have links to products that people could buy on Amazon.com that would be useful at a music festival. Of course these would be affiliate links.

Send 1-2 of these newsletter emails each month with different offers. It's all about how you position them. I think the hotel deals would be great. Maybe an email that reviews each nearby hotel?

Yes. Stupid fucking idiots think they can make money online and they don't know the difference between hit and visitors. That's like something my dad would say.

No no, I know what you're saying, I just don't get too bent out of shape by it. More money for me.

Over/under on the % chance he meant page views -> 80%

What are you taking?

Well if he meant page views that's almost as irrelevant you tool. As I said before he most probably means VISITORS or UNIQUE VISITORS not page views or hits.

Now fuck off and make some money you noob.

Oh by the way I think you win the saddest thread of the year award:-

I've spent much of Christmas weekend on my laptop or phone reading this place. This place is the best gift I've gotten so far this year I think...

I'd start monetizing immediately. See if you could get one of those southwest airlines email submits. You'd crush it. I can't remember which network has it, but I'll keep my eye open. I'd Shoot a message to your AM's asap though.

Oh and hopefully this isn't you during the WMC..

6,000 uniques fuckface

Nope I meant unique visitors not page views. I know the difference between hits and if that guy gets bent out of shape over semantics than I would hate to see him sitting in traffic.

Attached is the traffic from the Last tuesday to today.

Anybody here going to Ultra this year?
