In August I'll be leaving for a 6-month contract playing bass for Celebrity Cruises. I'll have a laptop with me but I'll have less time available for web stuff, so I'm setting this deadline to get some serious work done.

I have some SEO sites that have been sitting idly and they brought in about $1,500 last year. So I've decided enough dicking around and reading STS; it's time to make that number much higher.

I'll mark today as the starting point and report the earnings from there, so currently I am at $0.

Gotta head to bed pretty soon, but my plan for tomorrow is to assess one of my current sites and make a plan to revamp for better sales and increase the traffic. I'll be posting in this thread with some more details, future plans, and questions. Wish me luck.

I advise you to do 'Theme based forum postings and blog postings'. This would rnak you better as well as give you good results in terms of sales.

One of my sites is getting around 100 uniques a day from a very narrow range of keywords. I've picked several keywords where I can rank higher and get more traffic.

One KW has a fairly high search volume and the #1 Google result has about 1,200 backlinks. A page of my site is at #11 with something like 50 backlinks. What's the best way to tackle this?

Also, how do I get my subpages to show up as a list in Google's SERPs?

Finished reading Tested Advertising Methods and Eat That Frog. Currently finishing redesign of all web pages in GIMP. My band will be on a week-long trip to play in Daytona. I'll probably have no internet so I'll be back in a week or so ready to launch the revamped site.

I would get some social bookmarks to that page with the keyword anchor text you're trying to rank for (I've heard good things about Red Virus for this).

Start building Web 2.0 properties linking back to that page. Do blog comments, forum profiles. You can probably hit the first page for that keyword soon if you're #11.

yeah, last cruise i was on i paid through my nose for the net because you are in the middle of nowhere in the ocean. Before making any plans on dominating the interwebs from your boat make sure you can connect 1st :)

Daytona was pretty badass. Now back in business. The new design is up and I've climbed in ranking for several keywords. I'm working on doing some forum postings at the moment.

Question: Should I use different email addresses for all forum memberships or group them?
