So with 7search.com cracking down on arbi's, I think we should try out some new search engines and post results.

I know you guys have saw the terms about 1,000 keywords but they have up this too on 7search.com:
"· 7Search Arbitrage Policy · To ensure that 7Search results are relevant and provide useful information to Web surfers, sites that contain low quality or scraped content, or sites which offer no other links/resources outside of contextual advertising, will not be allowed to promote their website."

The humorous part about it is it's the top policy on the page

It's a bad time for me to just start learning...

So lets get some new engines on here besides the "norm" (searchfeed, miva, etc.) and see if we can find our new best friend.

other than 7search I haven't heard of any decent 2nd or 3rd tier engines that work well with arbitrage
the biggest problem with the other engines is fraud

Those were all kinda covered though. Adwords is expensive and not easy to pull it off with, yahoo is decent from what I've heard but I don't have an account yet, and MSN has remained in the gutter and kinda worthless. They are doing a $200 bonus right now though if you sign up using a special code. I'm not sure if it's still in effect but it's like $5 to sign up and then you get $200 for advertising.

I kinda want us to explore other options though besides the "norm" because we might just be missing something really good.

You could pay kids in your neighborhood to go door to door with flyers advertising your site.
Or you could catch all the squirrels around your house, then shave them and tatoo your url to their backs. Then put acorns on peoples window sills, when the squirrels gather the acorns people might see the url and visit your site. They might even tell there friends!

I too would like to hear others ideas as I'm running low on acorns. = (

People have been saying some good things about LookSmart on here lately. I've had mixed results with them -- I was able to get a lot of traffic but it only clicked through about 1/3 as often as 7Search visitors. Still, that's better than nothing, and it makes arbitrage possible with low bids.

I just started trying arbitrage with the "big three" engines. So far I'm not matching my 7Search earnings but not doing horribly either.

Adbrite.

NEVER, EVER use network run ads.

You CAN get a bunch of sites for like $1-$2 a week with average CPC like .02 etc.

You just have to look around and use your brain about what the site are about.

I've been testing msn lately but only got like 3 clicks in the last 2 days. I run about 20 different campaigns each having between 200-800 keywords and max cpc 0.06-0.08. I'm getting impressions but by ad ctr is like 0.2%. I'm using the same adcopy I used with looksmart where I got a lot more traffic(for more $ tho). Maybe it's because of the weekend or maybe I need to change my adcopy since msn users aren't as retarded as looksmart users(pretty much only coming from bh sites). Maybe it's also because I can't lie on my ads anymore since msn needs them to be approved first.

Thought this was interesting - just sent a customer service letter to have my last 7search account verified, which was not allowed last time i called due to my having multiple accounts.... this time they called ME in about 30mins (never happened before) and said there would be no problem verifying my account. I wonder if this was just a new sales rep or if they are realizing what a huge error they made by cracking down on arb...

this time i did not mention that i have other accounts though- i went through the whole credit card verification thing again... good, i had a bunch of campaigns in that account which weren't doing anything...

As far as MSN and Ad Copy go, I know its somewhat of a bitch to do and time consuming but each time I've written multiple Ad Copy for a Campaign I've seen that sometimes one ad has a drastically better CTR than the other. In order words, split test your Ad Copy just like you'd split test your arbitrage websites and you'll most likely see better results.

Split testing is really important, I agree. Once you find one out-performing another, tweak that and put that up against your top earner.

You can see a huge difference between an ad with a ctr of .60 and one of 1.0.

Ditto on MSN's crappy Ad CTR. But what's worse is that I get 100% CTR for one of my templates on 7search, but so far only 25% CTR on the same template with MSN. And the CTR with MSN will probably go lower as I get more clicks.

And I thought I had well blended ads. Come on the people surfing MSN can't be that sharp, or can they? :2gunsfiring_v1:MSN adcenter

At this point, do you think I should ad my arbi site to 7search or still too soon to say? I just opened my account and have one site being advertised but it's not just a landing page and is my business site. I funded it with $25 and am not heavily advertising my site.

Right now I have an arbi and am using google adwords and adsense but mostly using the adwords content network because it's cheaper but my CTR for the ads on my landing page is only about 15-20% so far and I get about 50 cents a click but I'm usually breaking even.. I also seem to be getting alot of fraudulent clicks it seems. I might pause my capaign when I go to sleep and then resume in the morning and start trying that. It seems like the countries over sea's are where the fraudulent clicks come from. I can't be too certain though as I don't have a tracker. It could just be some more tweaking needed.

Theres so much involved in this then I expected, definately ALOT of experimenting needs to be done unless you get lucky. But alot of trial and error sucks but helps. I wish I could just get my site off it's feet and just make a couple bucks a day to pay for lunch and dinner.... sucks. I realize some of you are making hundreds a day, all I want is about $10 a day max and I'd be happy as hell.:anon.sml:

Dude since 7search is still pretty lax about enforcement, I would go ahead and add the page. You'll probably make some money with the higher CTR, just don't expect too much traffic.

I concur. They aren't banning people or anything, they are just deleting keywords and shit. Take the deleted keywords e-mail, reupload and your good to go for a couple more weeks.
