How do you guys do well 7search?

I have over 350 keywords for 4 sites and I'm not receiving a single click... WTF?

your search counts may be too low or of course your ad copy might suck. go revisit the original arbi thread and read the whole thing. also for ranking, you want to care about the middle column rank figures not the far right column ranking which is 7search only. the middle data which is their content network is where almost all the clicks actually come from.

jened said it right. worry about the middle column only. 7search sends 0 traffic itself. Also, if you know your keywords are going to give 40 cents and up per click, try bidding 10 cents on a few keywords if you know its going to give you better results. I got good results with the quit smoking niche paying 10 cents per click. gives you better 1-3 results then a 0.06 bid thats #7-8.

All of my bids are in the top 5 on the middle column unless I really can't justify it (ie- $0.50 a click). The problem is that I'm still not getting any worthwhile traffic...

I don't understand it.

how many searches are your keywords listed as having. a few thousand seems like a lot, but it's not really going to bring you lots of traffic.

search around here about 7search - there are tons of posts about this..

just b/c you show up in their 'top 5' doesn't mean you are actually in the top five from the advertising network - you have to check that pop up window - i forget what its called since its been a while since i've logged in.

You could be in the top 5 on 7search, but be in the lower 1% in the overall ad network...

Smart way to go about it is to find a high volume kw - look at the network and see if the cost of the kw to be in the top 5 there is worth it based on your CTR. Then see if there is a big gap between two of the positions - ie. the #3 spot costs .08 cents, and the #2 spot costs like .50 cents. Bid .09 or so and you will then be in the #3 spot on the overall network...

In 7Search I always just focused on the high volume kws (> 10,000 searches) to do any optimizing of the bids. For the rest I just bid to be in the #1 spot on 7Search w/ a cap at .06 cents.

I hate 7Search. Went from 5 accounts w/ 10k kw limits until they implemented their new anti-arb policy... I now have one stupid account w/ a 1000 kw limit. What a joke.

does the image look related to the ads? thumbnails are definate no-no, i'm sure otherwise it's a judgement call - i'd probably add border around the ads to be safe or maybe a seperation line too. you really think it would drop your ctr that much?

:) Glad to see you're using some of my stuff. Did you use the keyword list too or another keyword tool? Sticking to 7 Search or another engine?
Keep us posted on how you do with arbi.

I used your keyword list too, well, most of them... lol

Sticking with 7search for this test. I seriously know NOTHING about arbi so this is to try and maybe learn something.

Will that layout work okay you think? I haven't received any traffic yet to know. I'm paying $0.25 a click for 3'rd avg position.

It's really hard to say whether a layout will work or not without letting it run for a while and you have some impressions at least. Once you have some data you can start testing with different layouts to compare.

Positions 3 to 6 works well for me, .25 seems a bit high for arbi but focus on the ROI. If you can consistently get 2x to 4x or higher, let it run.

Good luck.

Yea I'm bidding $0.20 right now and it's costing me $0.40 to make $0.52... not really worth it IMO.

So I tried mass lowering my bids to $0.14 but 7search won't let me... I have to do it all by hand.

Earnings yesterday were $6.30 with a CTR of 39%.

Today is $0.52 with a CTR of 50% (2 views, 1 click).

Interesting to see if I can ever get more traffic...

My Ad Copy is currently:

"Sell Pennis to Make Dollars!
Information on how use Forex to make a killing!"

I'm getting very little traffic... even though some of my keywords have 100K+ searches. Thinking I'm going to change it tommorrow after seeing how it does today.

your spelling pennies wrong dude! it looks like penis in your ad. i know with arbi we target stupid people, but unless you're trying to rank for gay forex trading, i'd fix your ad.

The ad is spelled correctly, I just typo'd when I transferred it here..

Anyways, so far my totals are $0.98, and I've spend $0.66.

Quit Smoking has 6 impressions, 3 clicks for $0.46. 50% CTR, averaging $0.16. Cost has been $0.22, so a profit of $0.24. 2:1 ROI.

Forex has had 7 impressions, 1 click for a 14.29% CTR. However, these results have been skewed by WF people checking my layout and from me doing some offline tweaking. That one click was worth $0.52, however, I had spend at least $0.40 to get it.

So, doing okay... gotta find a way to get more cheap traffic through 7search though :)

Also, the clicks on my Quit Smoking site are pretty low... yesterday I spend $0.18 and got two clicks... worth a total ot $0.10. What the hell?

Thats very interesting... Im no pro, in fact Im the total opposite, but your site doesnt really seem appealing to me, I wouldnt try it and dont know anyone who would, much less even search for it in the first place! I know Im a dummy still to all of this arbitrage stuff, but I would switch niches, while still being conscious of keeping the cost down and the traffic and clicks up. I hope I didnt say something stupid unintentionally once again, haha...
