85 MPH Texas toll road pays $100 Million to state for the privilege. In return Texas lowers speed limit on the free adjacent highway from 65 to 55.

It's an absolute win for the state. More speeding tickets will be issued on the adjacent highway, more taxes and rev share collected from the toll road, and $100 million in the bank.

You gotta love Texas. They also have some double-decker freeways. Of course, in Cali we barely have paved roads.

Triple evils by the state:

1. That there is a limit set and enforced by the state in the first place, taxing you if you break their arbitrary speed limit.

2. That the state will look the other way and raise that limit for a bribe from a single private company. (The very definition of crony capitalism)

3. That the state will further lower its' own speeds around the tollway so that most people will be FORCED to use the tollway. (Since they are now no longer able to travel at the rate they did before the deal without using the tollway.)

Criminal... Just not here though.

Texas has proven it practices crony capitalism like few other places in the world. I can't imagine how Ron Paul can stand being from that fascist state!
