A Hero of peace, Rudolf Hess on this day May 10th 1941 flew his plane (despite the fuhrer's wishes) and parachuted into Scotland to try and create peace amongst similar aryan nations. He was imprisoned until his murder in 1987. An excellent man, may we remember him and his courage for the survival of our people. Hail Rudolf Hess; Sieg Heil!

Given how well the Germans honoured the German-Soviet peace treaty, it's impossible see how Hess's alleged offer of peace could be credible.

Chamberlain's policy of appeasement already proven to be a failure. The only possible reason that Hitler would make such an offer was that he'd already realised how stupid opening a war on two fronts was, and he wanted to get the Allies off his back so that he could concentrate on dealing with Stalin (who he knew to be an even bigger monster). After that, his past behaviour shows that Hitler would have resumed his attack on Western Europe.
 
Obviously an evil Nazi, but he did seem to get a harsh deal considering he took no further part in the war after May '41.
 
Osama bin laden

A Hero of peace, Osama bin laden on this day <insert it> had flew his plane (despite the <insert it>'s wishes) and parachuted into <insert it> to try and create peace amongst similar Arab nations. He was hiding until his murder in 2011. An excellent man, may we remember him and his courage for the survival of "our" people. Hail Osama bin laden ; Osama bin laden Heil!
