A little help, designing a program?

Hi,

im currently looking into rebranding a piece of old open source software, but since I havent done this before (im ordering this service via freelancers) they asked me, if I have all the media things (design etc) done already...

Im now wondering how would someone do it? Is it basically like a website design that has been cut to pieces so that the developer could put it together, or is there any other way, something specific that I should know?

PS! - Also if someone can do it, then contact me

Then there should be no need for secrecy - most FOSS licences allow you to make money off modified versions. Legally you may be required to send the changes back upstream, and/or grant attributions to the original authors and point to the original source code (depending on the original license).

If you can tell me what the program is I can tell you how easy it is to change. I'm proficient in most programming languages - what I'm interested in knowing is the program dependencies. You say old which might mean considerable work.

NOTE: Open Source is a development model. Free Open Source is a development model that allows you access to the source code. I suspect you mean FOSS.

I don't know what I don't know. But I can answer that question when I know the name of the beast.

It's subjective - depends on your answers to the above questions.

How do I put this nicely? Stop what you're doing, and spend some time learning.

From what you posted, you're in no position to begin rebranding some software package you found, because quite honestly and no disrespect intended, but you don't have the slightest clue as to what you're talking about.

Go learn about these things first, before you decide to head up a project on them.
