A script for sweepstakes?

Is their a sweepstake script where you encourage people to promote your website and by doing this they will be enter into a sweepstakes automatically. Therefore, I want to have a script, or a software, or any other method where it can be known who is spreading the message and promoting my website. And wha they will do is, they will just be telling others about my website via email or bookmarking or through site like digg or facebook. Will a tell-a-friend script work for this or an email subscribition (however both method does not say who is promoting the website and who is not)?
So please tell me how do I carry this out and what should I do! thank you in advance!

What you are talking about is an affiliate program. You need a script that generates affiliate links for people which they then spread around the web. Then track users who arrive at your site through each affilliates link and measure the amount of 'conversions' per affiliate and reward accordingly. ASP or PHP can both do this. This is quite common so there are scripts out there.

There are both free and commercial scripts. The commercial ones tend to offer more suppourt but always be cautious whan laying maoney out on the web. Things to do are Initiate contact to see how helpfull they are/ how well they respond and do a bit of background research (ask on dev forums / look for feedback etc.) common sense prevails! If you have no experience then i don't think there is a 'free' way to do this as you will need to integrate the script into a website yourself and most likely modify/add to it. What is your budget/experience?
