Hi everyone,
Wow, finally my first WF post. Thanks everyone for all your threads and posts, I've learnt more than I can even remember.

Now to my first question. I have a handful of sites trying out different things, one of which is a blog filled with AdSense that has started to attract some "mature" type content. It's not anything too bad, but I'm concerned that if I keep going that direction AdSense will eventually shut me down.

Does anyone know any good alternatives to AdSense that allow mature content???

I don't really want to get into Adult sites, but it would be a shame to waste the traffic I'm currently converting with this blog.

Thanks in advance!!

It ultimately depends on what you mean by "mature content". If your sites are full of hardcore porn, then yeah, adsense will eventually get around to banning you... and you'll lose all earned revenue.

If it's just the occasional swear word, mild fight videos, and/or videos of girls dancing around in bikinis, then you're pretty much safe with Adsense.

But, if you're dealing with porn, there are plenty of Adsense alternatives that WILL allow hardcore adult content.

Adbrite (although I don't recommend them) has a text link program set up specifically for adult sites. I believe it's called AVN.

I'm sure someone else here can list some more options, or you can just google it.

but it would be a shame to waste the traffic

How do you know it's going to be wasted. Adult traffic converts very very poorly in general. Everyone is after "Free" and there are billions of free pictures out there already.

So get rid of the crap and refocus on what your site is about... unless you really do want to get in the adult business.

Though not contextual, AFF can do well with adult sites. Might be worth looking at - as well as CPA they do a CPC option ($1 per click) and geo-targeted ads - showing members in the same area as the user.

I've only just started using them, so can't really personally comment on their reliability and affiliate support - but I've not heard anything bad about them. Seem to be doing well for me so far.

Cue cheeky aff link ;) Adult FriendFinder - The World's Largest Sex Personals Site
