My ad server does not have a cloaking option like P202 does. I realize that ad servers weren't designed for affiliates so this is not surprising, but I'm wondering how the rest of you deal with that. Are there ad servers out there that do cloak? I could send traffic from my ad server through P202 just to cloak it, but that's not a perfect solution because it's an extra redirect that slows visitors down slightly, and people keep saying that P202 doesn't handle very high traffic volumes well.

So how do you guys cloak your media buy traffic when using an ad server?

I take it you're direct linking? How many clicks per second are you seeing? (I use prosper direct links for direct linked campaigns with zero issue at anything but insane traffic loads which I've seldom seen from banners).

Yes I'm direct linking. I don't have any data yet because I'm just about to run my first campaign with an ad server (done a few previous media buys with no ad server). So are you saying you send traffic from your ad server through P202?

Yes, through prosper 'direct links'

Unless you're seeing SILLY high numbers of clicks or have a cheap shared hosting setup (or horrible dedicated box) I don't think you'll have any issues.

Now one of the big things is serving pop under traffic through prosper can and will crash things, but again you're talking exponentially greater traffic loads than banner due to the banner CTR factored in.

Maybe some other people will chime in and tell you not to do this, but unless you're doing a MSN homepage buy for 24 hours or something I wouldn't worry about *my* system keeping up.
