Adbuyer Traffic Quality

So I recently signed up with Adbuyer and have been running an offer that has converted fairly well for me on other traffic sources.

But with Adbuyer, I've had 300 clicks to the landing page, 61 clicks to the offers, and a big fat 0 in conversions. 23 of those 61 clicks were to the second offer on the landing page, so I'd assume I'd see at least one conversion.

Right now I've set the audience score targeting almost to the max, and still it seems that the traffic is clicking to the offer from the lander, but not buying anything.

Has anyone had any experience with AdBuyer Traffic or Right Media traffic? Should I set my own demographics instead of using the Audience score?

Thanks in advance

Thanks bro. I'll up it and see what happens, I'm guessing your saying that upping the bid will allow AdBuyer to purchase more expensive placements for me. Right now I have it set at $2dCpm

As of now, there's 550 clicks to the landing page and not a single conversion.

That sucks that you haven't gotten a conversion on 60 clicks to the offer and that's not looking good. But it's also not significant quite yet - I've had offers that convert at a steady 14% go 60 clicks with no conversion - it happens.

UUh shouldn't that issue already have been settled by the fact that your audience score is maxed out?

It's not completely maxed out. It's at 80 right now. But maybe they're buying traffic from the cheaper inventory that still falls under the 80 audience score, and so if I up the bid they'll start getting some of the higher quality traffic that falls under this score.

Heh, that makes no sense though as the traffic at an 80 audience score should theoretically all be the same quality... So I think you have a point. Maybe I'll just put the score to 100 instead.

Hmm, yea really does suck because with these sort of numbers I'd expect somewhere near 10 conversions =/.

On the other hand, maybe I shouldn't be testing out new traffic sources around Christmas, as I've noticed a bit of a drop in conversions on other sources as well.

I guess it could be that my leads aren't showing up or something. Just doesn't make sense to get that many clicks to the second offer and not even have one conversion.

Earlier this year I spent more than $5,000 testing adbuyers traffic and it seemed to me they were buying bottom of the barrel Right Media inventory. Creatives, landing pages and offers that were consistent performers for me on other platforms tanked on their shit traffic.

well whatever you do, don't ask your rep. he'll tell you to jack up the bid and keep trying. because normal campaigns need $100k to be successful! and yea ur right about their quality. I have yet to see someone who makes consistently money with them (no wonder, discrepancies are at about 20-50% and nobody gives a shit)

Damn, thanks for the heads up. Just wondering if you got a lot of clickthrough's to the offers like I did with no conversions.

I'm starting to think working with the networks is kind of dangerous on a small budget. So I'm looking to start doing direct buys with websites instead. Traffiq also looks like a good place to start, but they want me to deposit a minimum of 5k which won't be refundable.

Thanks for the heads up, going to stop AdBuyer for now.

LOL, yea I have a low budget right now, so can't do the huge amount of testing these networks are going to tell me is needed. I guess I'd need a test buy with a network to come out profitable right out of the gate... which is pretty doubtful.

I also see that most of the inventory coming from them is through cpx interactive. So I'm thinking about staying away from that network for a buy too.

Another thing I've noticed is that when I click the referrer link in prosper202, most of the banners they serve are for ring tone offers. So maybe that's the sort of stuff that converts with them.

Thanks for the info

Yea that's ridiculous. I wonder if they're targeting kids then who are under 18 and can't purchase products online. Can't figure out why so many people would be clicking to offer and not buying...

Either way, I'm done with them. Thanks for saving me a ton of money.

Now that I'm looking to do direct buy's with websites, I'm a little shocked by the CPM prices some of them are listing. They want me to pay $15 CPM for untargeted traffic, some are even as high as $30 CPM. Mind you, these are just prices they're listing on their websites, so I'm sure they're negotiable (but I doubt I could get it down to under $3 CPM). My eCPM for RON traffic is around $1, so I'm worried about doing a direct buy with a website for more than that.
