Adsense and Wiki

I am trying to start a wiki, using mediawiki. Does anyone know how I can add adesnse code to the site? I tries but it screwes up the sidebar and I can't seem to figure out how to get it in the footer.

What theme are you using with MW?

If you can't figure it out how to do it manually, there are a lot of AdSense extensions you can download to make it easier and automate some things for you.

How does it screw up the sidebar? Maybe the ad you are using is too wide for the sidebar?
