Adsense designed template?

I thought thats why you hired developers/designers that adapted the look you desired to the ideal layout. The only thing I can tell you right now is that link ad units right near the site's navigation tends to work well 
But in term of content placement, that depends on your content and where you're hoping to draw traffic on the page.
Also keep in mind you can't have more than 3 ad sense units on a single page view, so it wouldn't take much to template a site for only that.
