Ban or low CPCs? Wondering if this is OK to do. My situation specifically is that I want to email my list links to blog posts that will have Adsense on them, but I want to avoid getting bitch slapped by Google. Any thoughts on this or experience?

Adsense + email is allowed, but in theory if you're sending traffic to your own Adsense units you also have to comply with the LPQG's which prohibits direct arbitrage which means if you're buying opt-ins or doing traffic swaps you may be at risk. Referrer is a factor in how pricing is determined, so you shouldn't be surprised if your average EPC is lower.

I've not found RSS to email to be a moneymaker in and of itself, but it keeps subscribers engaged.

I have been doing this for awhile with my own subscriber list and a weekly digest - absolutely a success on the day or two after the digest goes out. I don't see how sending this digest out to a site that happens to run adsense can be against tos.

Can you go into more detail about this? Not quite sure what you mean by weekly digest--is the digest your blog or email newsletter or something else? Just wondering, thanks!

Yeah.. I just send out a summary of the week's post out once a week to subscribers.

It has a very dry header like : websitename.com - weekly updates
Then..links to the new updates and a brief snippet.

That's all I do. I tried doing it nightly (after each update) and got more unsubscribers...after testing it, once a week was optimum IMO for keeping subscribers from getting annoyed (and unsubscribing) and maximizing return visits. My earnings were always better the day or two after the digest went out.
