Adsense for Search

I heard that it's not worth it at all.

Worse yet, it sends someone away from your site without paying hardly anything.

First time I tried it, it sucked. I've started using it again on one of my sites, makes a few extra dollars a day, nothing substantial. If you have a site were visitors return regularly, it may be worth having.

The other alternative is to set up a site search that displays ads, would have to talk to a programmer about that one.

I read somewhere that the search box is the highest paying ad per pixel, doesn't do well for me though. Also, you may want to try using the javascript focus.

Has anyone ever tried placing keywords in the box so that all the visitor has to do is press enter, or click serch. It could work.

Oh, I dont know about the Search Advertisements feature, but a google search box is huge, you can optimize it and make it match your sites colors. Looks just like your website after they punch in a keyword.

Well from all the posts, it seems as though their may be some potential for the Google search box so I'm going to give it a go and fingers crossed improve my passive income stream.

Unlike the rest of Adsense, Adsense for Search can be set to open a new browser window-you aren't neccessarily sending them away.
I have had good luck and bad.
I had someone use my search and click on 4 ads from it :) That was one search!
I had 45 searches one day and no clicks :angryfire:

If you have ever followed a search to a site and found it was not what you are looking for, I think a Google search box is a great way to get something out of someone who will leave anyway.

If you have a page with a hi exit level and no $ maybe a search box will help.
