OK, I think this has been addressed, but I just did not grasp it...obviously.

So I have a blog about bad credit that is monetized by adsense. It is ranked pretty well and gets traffic, so here is what kills my joy....

Now I am plagued by some CPM ads which are great for the advertiser, and suck for me....

But now G does not even display the URL on all ads, so how do I get rid of this parasite? (...or brilliant marketer, despending upon your perspective)

Thanks!

Click on the ad (via proxy) and you'll get the URL. Then block it in your AdSense account.

If you don't want to click the ad, here is an official way how to find out the URL: https://www.google.com/adsense/urlfilter#finding
Right click and copy the link location of the ad.
Here's an example.

Thanks so much.

It is killing me to see fractions of pennies per impression vs. dollars for clicks. I remember when somebody posted on the technique to get cheap advertising by doing this.....

...backfires when they do it to you!

Hi,
You can set the url as blocked on your adsense account. That can be found by right clicking on ad and finding url in info.
In my opinion Adsense is not worth it any more unless you do filter out these low earners. Better off finding thr affiliate program for those sites and placing your own ads on the page. That keeps both of you happy...

No problem at all. Actually, I was unaware the per impression deal could give good results. I guess I learned something here too :)

OK, so do you just have to keep blocking advertisers until you start getting paid for clicks again?

I know that some of these guys have dozens of domains just because people block them.

In other words, as a publisher, is there a science to this?

p.s. this is working. I am starting to get .50 clicks at least, instead of .01 for impressions.

I am going to just keep shotgunning it because I am not going to let these cheapskates win and I am not interested in publishing Google ads for almost free.

Please help again. Yesterday, I got paid for clicks... average of about .50 each. Now today I'm back to 458 impressions and .01 in revenue.

What would you do? Do I just keep blocking every adv. It seems futile.

I thought of trying adsense for search which is only CPC. Is that a plan?

If your site has good traffic for it's niche, you might want to put some cpa offers up instead of Adsense. Take a look at what those advertisers are pushing - if they keep changing their game to get on your site, it's probably worth it... might as well be you getting the CPA cash than them.

That is what is so frustrating. Almost all traffic is coming from google keyword searches. The domain is a couple of years old and is getting stronger all the time, while making LESS money.

I think you are right about testing CPA offers. Google was (WAS) just so much easier with the context sensitive ads.

How can they keep publishers when they allow this? And then in the Help section, they tell us not to filter to many advertisers.... LOL This crap is just going to drive publishers out. (I know its been said before.) But maybe if I remove the Google for awhile, I can put it back later after my parasites have found another body to feast upon.
