Hey guys;

On one of my arbi sites all I'm getting is public service ads... even though everything about the site screams the niche.

I have the niche topic on a h1 tag, and have a 4% keyword density.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Sometimes Adsence does this for a number of reasons, one is simply because there are no relevent ads to display and they find the next best thing, another thing you could do is wait a few days, sometimes this happens to me and it clicks back in.

Other then that I'm sure the adsence knows which keywords your using, but there is no real answer to this, it could just be a problem with Adsence, out of your hands type of thing.

The number one thing that determinesad targeting seems to be the url. I once added a "s" at the end of a keyword directory, thinking it wouldn't matter at all since google wouldn't care about the keyword being plural, but I got really weird ads from car part sites, office furnite sites and some other really weird stuff on a site targeting a niche that didn't have anything to do with any of those topics. So if your targeting is off, try experimenting with other directory names.

Its a possibility thats the problem, I had issues like that with some of my new sites and it took a few days to correct itself.

Argh I hate waiting for stuff like this. I've got $100 worth of traffic I want to send to them to test them and I obviously can't do that without targeted ads :S

So I load up my sites and both have targeted ads! Yay!

Then I reload and BAM... hurricane katrina PSA shit...

WTF AdSense, WTF.

Are there other ad networks that are more responsive (ie- adbrite, YPN, 7search, etc)?

Actually yes, I find the other networks to be much more responsive, you would think that Google would be but thats just not the case, but since Google Adsence is my main source of money with text based advertising, I cannot say forsure which other ones would be good to use.
