I've taken an interest in video splogs of late, and I have plans to scale it up as much as I can soon.

Could Google ban my adsense account for getting involved in this in a big way? Anyone have any experience of this?

There are plenty of other ways to monetize, but the simplest at the monent is Adsense. I don't really use Adsense anywhere else so a ban wouldn't be the end of the world, but if it's avoidable I'd like to.

Google Adsense doesn't allow any copyrighted contented on the pages that their AD's appear on. So make sure that none of your video's go against a copyright, otherwise you're vulnerable to being banned.

More a question of when, not if - they are very trigger happy and as soon as you start making any decent level of money will give you a hand job (manual review) and probably ban you if anything looks remotely fishy (or sploggy). Plan ahead and open second or third account in different names. Unfortunately your adsense pub id gives them a pretty big set of footprints to follow...

Just scrape youtube and integrate the embed code with adsense.

EDIT: and then run your rss feed through feedburner and integrate adsense in there as well. Then buy digerati's autostumble and profit. There. Easy 5$/week.

I've had three adsense accounts banned for having content that they didn't approve of (and no, it wasn't adult, gambling, or any of the other "bad" niches).

They will ban your account on a whim if they don't like what you're doing. Typically you'll get a warning beforehand, but sometimes not.

It all comes down to risk vs. reward. How much is your adsense netting you now? How much could it if you bent the rules a bit? Is it worth risking the former for the latter?

Sweet, replies :)

@cdc: I can't think of any sites that I want to use Adsense, so I guess it could be worth the risk.

@glowleaf: I think I'm already doing that, minus the scraping part. I never thought of scraping YouTube, it seems almost "bad". I'm learning more and more these days that there's a thin line between whitehat and blackhat, I keep wanting to step over.
