Is it against adsense tos to make the url color in the ad block the same as your background color of your site?

I just came across a website that did this and it looks goooood. Without looking carefully I couldn't even tell they were adsense at first.

Has anyone here tried it?

I didn't see anything specific about it in the TOS but I suppose this line could be interpreted to mean that you could not make the colors the same...

Adsense TOS said:
Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads.

Perhaps you could make the argument that the background element would be obscuring a portion of the ads. Maybe not.

Yea, I had just finished reading that part. Tough to make an argument after you're banned though.

if you set the url to white on a white background google dispays it in gray, there's some king of control to avoid people to hide the url, even if you try to set it to a color that isn't easily readable (dark gray on black etc)

Trust me, putting white div layers to hide url is just stupid. Sure way to get banned. I don't know if Google actually has automated this, but it shouldn't be very hard to detect if there's layer over the ad.
