Advertising in newspaper

Have any of you had any luck promoting re-bills through local newpapers? It seems like a brilliant idea considering the free traffic (minus cost of ad). I haven't tried it yet, but have been told that advertisers don't like it because they have no control over the ad. This may be "illegal" for all I know.

You should learn how to form a proper sentence. It would help people to understand what the fuck you are talking about.

if you go this route you'll need very compelling ads, and a memorable domain name. "____gets______" isn't going to cut it, there is tremendous attrition from someone seeing an ad in print and bothering to go to a computer and type in the domain.

Don't re-use some shitty domain that would've worked for display "wowzers-news-of-the-world.net" or something in print.

Newspaper Advertising for Affiliates

Amber, don't worry about those guys....

Newspaper advertising is really good if your doing offers targeting older people like anti aging creams. Great tutorial on where and how to advertise in Newspapers here.
 
I tried this and it really didn't work at all. You will find they reject almost all your ads which is funny since print classifieds should be begging for anybody to give them money these days.

College newspapers do well for paid surveys and work at home stuff. You can run ads in classifieds for almost nothing and many college newspapers will also give you a backlink on their website.
 
Ambercatt... don't listen to these guys.. they're a bunch of dorks sitting behind their computer and can only pick on people on the internet.
