Exploring different options for getting a high risk merchant account set up. Its for a diet supp ... no surprise here :jester:

Anybody have any experience or recommendations on who to sign up with for CC processing? Will need to be able to switch merchants IDS before chargebacks reach 3%.

Thanks in advance

i'll join the pm parade before it gets too long if you don't mind -- would love similar info. much appreciated brad. +rep

load balancing is very important, either PM smaxor or myself, i am sure the two of us have more knowledge on this stuff than anyone else on the board, i have seen a lot of people get fucked with their merchant accounts, dont wait until its to late like most do, when Visa decides to shut you down youre fucked if you dont have a back up plan

What's a merchant account?

I could be wrong, but I believe a merchant account was a service used during the Civil War Era where old wooden ships moved gold and trinkets back to Spain from the New World.

Can you guys please PM me too for the merchant account. Me and my partner are setting a herbal supp company too and on the lookout for reliable merchant(s).

Thanks in advance

Stop scamming people and you won't need a high risk merchant account.

Same with load balancing, the only reason you would ever need that is if you rip people off.

There's a reason your charge back rate is so high, instead of simply spreading it, why not try to make an honest living?

This industry is shady as hell.

Hitting a high CB rate these days has nothing to do with providing excellent or shitty service. You can easily go over your threshold by selling to the wrong customers. Modern customers are completely aware of what a CB is and how to do one, and some of them will buy a product and CB right away just because they know how slanted towards the customer the process really is.

We win 80% of our chargebacks from Visa/MC, and 99% of Amex. But that doesn't matter when the wins don't lower your %. It's total RR and CBs.

Anyway - anyone who does any sort of business knows that.

Google load balances and uses high risk merchant accounts. So does companies like time life books, girls gone wild, columbia house, MSN, Yahoo, Amazon, eBay. The list goes on and on, you cant process 10's of millions of dollars in the US monthly, our banking system is too fucked up for a business to function properly at these high levels and stay within the Visa/MC code that was written in the 70's before the internet existed.
