Yea this might seem like a stupid question but I'm confused now. I've read on adwords and on here that when using broad matching, google considers:

cat

AND

cats

to the be same thing..? Right..

I'm running the Ad Preview tool to see my ads and they will only show with the plural form of the word I used - which is what i entered as my keyword. The singular doesnt trigger any ads...?

What's the deal?

goin for a new record

forget it..i guess you have to use the singular in your kw's and that'll hit for the plural form..

was just confused for a second there

How can you have a plural form of a plural word? Use the non-plural KW on your KW list.

Why are you bidding broad match in the first place. Noobs should start with exact or phrase until they get the hang of adwords. Otherwise you might get burned.

Gold right there, although all i ever bid is [exact]

Sometimes when the searched keyword isn't relevant enough, it doesn't trigger your ads. Google is after relevancy... But if you're prepared to pay for it, they'll show (Google is after money too). Ofcourse don't bid higher - just include the singular form.
