So I made a new MCC adwords account to separate my campaigns but now I'm seeing some seriously inflated cpcs.

One campaign I'm running (gaming) is getting near $1 cpcs.

On my old account it was no where near this so I'm just wondering if these numbers are because of the new account history?

I upped the cpc but had to lower it back down after it raped my budget. Now I'm getting barely getting any traffic.

Thanks

Are you sure the ads are running on the same content network sites?

If not, run some reports and see which sites are costing you $1 cpcs and exclude those sites.

Weird, i thought only facebook ads does set up higher cpc for new account.

Try to run some reports and keep us updated

Quality score flows all the way up from the ad group level to the account. So yes... if your old account had a considerable amount of history and QS you could notice higher cpc's. On the positive side, if you were not banned and they don't connect the accounts at some point you should already know which ads/kw's to start with and be able to establish an even better QS on the new account.

A new account can do that on content unfortunately. Find some kick ass CTR banners (think what arcades use and target arcades) to get the initial history. Run $25-$50/day for a few days, then roll out your other campaigns and pause the other.

Gaming is damn competitive on content currently, to get .60 CPA's I'm having to keep a 20-25% conversion rate with an average CTR of .40%+

At the end of the day it's all about the banners CTR on content.

Good luck man.

The campaign I mentioned had a $0.70 cpc on a 0.21% ctr. Another one I have is getting $0.23 clicks on a 1% ctr.

I noticed that they're not running on the same placements as before. Also there are a lot of placements that are only getting 1 click but on huge cpcs that are eating my budget.
