Ive been given the go ahead to create and manage an Adwords campaign to hire new staff for my company.

Were looking for college educated people with previous sales experience within a 5-10 mile radius of us.

Does anyone here have any pointers on how I can nail this?

We're going to be looking at facebook/myspace too.

Keyword:
company industry hire boston
company industry job openings in boston
company industry employment in boston

(and of course ... geotargeting to your area)

Etc.

landing page touting the company, perks bla bla, form with name /phone/email and ability to send in resume etc.

Use generic keywords geotargeted to your area.
jobs boston
careers boston
hiring boston

I've done this for a company before, and I noticed that I got a lot of clicks from 'zip code + keyword' as the keyword.

Be very descriptive in the ad text.

I'd try Craigslist.. if it's free in your city it's.. free. If it's not, the ROI will be better than paid search.

Weve done craigs and the response has been kind of bleh.

What we're looking to focus on is attracting quality people.

CL is a good way to turnover 1000 people in six months in my experience.

Interestingly I've had the opposite experience, I think it definitely depends on your area.. what schools are around, etc.

Are the people you're trying to hire specialized/skilled in a certain trade, or are they customer service-type folk..?

Digg article:

X Company Gives Free LapDances to All Interviewees

most likely your company is a tech company, so tech company = nerds. nerds will piss their pants for that. Btw, not calling you a nerd, but if you are one, cool.

(write the article from the point of view of the type of employee you are looking for, for example, if your looking for a php position it will be on a blog about php bla bla, the article can talk all about bla bla and basically if your good at writing you can through in some good subliminal shit and use your POV to not make it seem like its an ad for the company..)

with that you will have tons of resumes sent in, pick the best ones and when they come forward tell them the "management" has stopped giving them, but if these people are coming in they prolly want the job anyway, and tell them you will take em to the club later. some of them might even show up not for the strippers but for the job. wewt?

woot. were doing telemarketing.
we want to hire the most experienced least coke addicted (crack at least) people we can find.

you do telemarkeing and expect quality employees. there's your problem.

The thing is there are people who are phenomanally good at this type of work. According to our numbers its, about 1 person in 2500 who will make themselves money and make money for the company.

Without eventually destroying themselves with their bad habits.
