Adwords Images "Under Review" for 8 Days...

Well, not really hear to complain (although this is a pain). I'm just curious of what could have caused the delay?

Its a brand new adwords account connected to a 6 year old gmail account. I used a $100 coupon from Hostgator. Could any of these be why?

I did try searching for some post before I made this, but I saw that most people were complaining about it taking 48 hours. Again, its been 8 days now.

I really just want to try and figure out the probable cause so I can fix it in the future.

Images are very clean and they do go to a LP I made.

Yes, I know I should make some ads other places too (and I am), but besides going with another ad network...

Any suggestions?
 


Sometimes they just take too long to review your image ads. According to them it all depends on how many images are in the queue.

I get mine approved within couple of days and sometimes it takes more than a week.

Contacting them through their adwords help site usually fastens the process.
 
I called and she said that it definitely should not be taking this long...and that she will send a message to the review team. Kinda cool - I didn't even have to wait on hold.
