Hey, just thought I'd come in to add this to the pot, pardon me if it's been discussed already, I have been out of this loop for a bit.
When I joined Adwords I was asked to enter my company name but I didn't enter anything as I don't have one any more.
So my account was a "non-business purposes" one.
But I just got an email from them saying "Your AdWords account is, in fact, used for business
purposes. This means that it is used to gain an economic advantage"
To cut it short, from now on I won't be paying Vat any more. (not to adwords anyway).
This also means I am getting a cheque back for all Vat I paid to them till now, that's 20 cents to the dollar.
So, perhaps there's more people like me out there especially the UK/Europe lot.
