Ok... This is possibly the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

On Saturday one of my accounts (higher volume) stopped getting impressions. The daily budget was $8500 and the account had $2500 in prepaid balance. (I do prepaid balance so I can regulate spend better).

That being said, I obviously thought it was a slap but my QS was 7/10 still. So I contact support thinking my account was under review and they said it was not.

Odd...

The problem they said was that I didn't have enough funds in the account compared to my daily balance? They wanted me to add more funds before they would run the account again even though there was $2500 in funds in the account already...

By far, the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

So I lower the daily budget to $2500 and add $500. $3000 dollars total in the account, enough for more than 1 whole day.

Nope, they email me back and say it's still not enough. WOW.

I think their stock being down is forcing them to do stupid things to get more money from advertisers or something...

Anyone deal with issues like this?!

That's fucking bullshit. I still don't see why people prepay lol. I'd rather prolong the payment for as long as I can.

Yea so I lowered the budget to $500 yesterday and still no impressions. Back to the good ol' chat window.

Ok... Chatted with them for like 25 minutes.

Now they're saying that I have to give it more time (it's been 12+ hours...) to make sure that the solution they presented works.

This is hilarious.

I am facing a similar issue that I can not figure out. I am setup on invoice payment with a $50,000 budget and on average I spent $40,000. Let me first say that I still do not know what happend, and my impressions are still not coming in for about 3 weeks now but I will lay out some facts that could have persuaded this to happen.

1) My invoice bill was owed in 10 days from this happening
2) I had a popup on my landing page that was only activated if you selected a certain radio button
3) I had keywords that were the same across several adgroups
4) I targeted very cheap, relevant clicks

I still do not understand what could have happened and it has had a crippling effect to my business. I have contacted them by email and phone 10+ times.

you better speak to your google rep because they just put me on net 60 days form end of month!

haha.

If only the heavyweight shareholders / board members (other than Sergei and Larry) knew about some of the crap google is putting its advertisers through, the shit would hit the fan.

Hmm, when is it possible to ask for invoicing (as in: how much do you need to spend)?

Sounds like you need invoicing. I've got $100k payable 45 days after the end of the month that way I don't get my impressions stopped.

:)

I do have invoicing ($320k) but this account is different / new.

Problem still not resolved too. Lol.

Annoying.

Google has been doing a lot of stupid shit lately to their advertisers. Makes you scratch your head why a company losing so much stock value can make it harder for themselves to increase their revenue.

It's funny you mention that. Notice how they changed QS to be more lenient when their stock went down? ;) I am pretty sure google's quality score algorithm is directly related to how much profit they need to beat / hit projections for the quarter. Not that it's bad since I want all the stock I have in them to goo back up....
