So I know I have had 20 questions about adwords lately. I am just trying to learn....UGH! Why is google so darn hard?? Anyway, I have combed through this board and I can't find an answer to this. Out of let's say 1000 keywords, only, 300 are active. I am getting paid a $5.00 payout and currently bidding .50 a click. So, to improve my score, should I raise my bids (most of my terms are saying raise to $1.00) or should I delete them, wait until my score is better and add them back later? When you keep inactive key terms in your account, does that lower your score?

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your help!
Blessings!

You need to get better defined adword groupings to improve your quality score and reduce your bids. You don't say how may adgroups you have and how many keywords are in each adgroup.

It is very difficult to get low bids if you don't have well defined keywords in each adgroup going to a relevant landing page.

well if it gets to .50 min bid then you are doing something wrong and increasing the bid amount to compensate and to get more clicks can only go so far in improving your qs.

and what frequentdriver said... you're adgroup organization probably needs work. You have 1000 keywords... all in the same group or what? that alone is pretty suicidal. It can work on content network though. CN is not as picky so you can bid low there.

Agree with Mason here, keep those adgroups as small as possible - it seems like such a simple concept but it gets hard when you have a few thousand keywords. There are some programs out there that will create the adgroups for you... unfortunately my lack of memory will require you to use the search function to find it...

Thanks guys...So huh...never heard about keeping groups small. How small do you suggest? I take your word for it but I don't understand why that works? (I feel like a child with Google..."but Mommy why???" LOL!)

Well you want your ad text to be as relevant as possible to the keywords.

In turn this means that only so many keywords can be relevant - therefore keeping your adgroup size down..

I usually limit my adwords to a certain phrase... Say every keyword with 'Get Viagra' will go into the 'Get Viagra' adgroup etc. etc.

In essence it means your keeping your ad text relevant.

Edit: Did I just say RELEVANT
