Affiliate links question

Hiya guys, great site you've got together here. I've been browsing quite alot in the past 2 days, and have begun my own two blogs to try and see whether I'll be successful in the online market.

Anyway, to my question. I see/read that most blogs are redirecting traffic to some offer on the internet, and that is how bloggers are making some of their money; if one of your blog readers clicks a link of your blog and follows it up by purchasing something you make a little extra. Well, I'm confused. How does the blogger make money from this? Do they write an article on some offer, and add an adsense banner and hope that it comes up with that offer with help from the article?

Sorry, it might be a stupid question, but I've been browsing around and I must be missing something or misreading (or just plain not understanding).

There is Adsense, where you get paid when someone clicks on an ad. OR you join a network and put ads/offers where you get paid when someone does something, it is separate from Adsense. So you can choose your own offers.

People just put adsense ads on their blogs where they think they will receive some good clicks from their visitors.

Now with CPA offers which I guess you are on about, people may join an CPA Affiliate Network (there are many to choose from) and look at some of the offers and then if they see an offer that pays well and they think may also convert well, they may right about it and then leave some links to that offer in their post. This is kind of like pre-selling.

These are not the only ways that you can earn from a blog. There is also another way that people use and it's writing blog posts for other site owners. For example, if site wanted to a have their site reviewed your blog, then you can review their site and charge them for it. There are sites that offer these sort of services.

Some of these include Reviewme, payperpost, etc.
